If you have to read this again to remind you to watch the damn vids and enter the giveaway at the bottom of the page, I suggest you get some new glasses.

Someone says Morley, and everyone thinks Wah. That’s a big deal. There aren’t many manufacturers that can boast having a name that’s synonymous with arguably the biggest rock effect in ever. And, Morley has pushed farther. For 30 Pedals in 30 Days 2014, we at TheToneKing.com got our feet rocking with the Morley Pro Series II Distortion Wah Volume.

When you speak of heritage, Morley has kept close to theirs. It’s not like they’re making freaking blenders here. You check out their site, and you got Wah, Wah, and more Wah. That tells you one thing: Morley made a killer design and kept true to that. Not many people can say that.

Even today, the Morley Wah design is cutting edge. Using an Electro-Optical sensor, Morley Wahs last without having to worry about a dirty potentiometer. And, we all know nothing is worse than being caught with a dirty potentiometer. The Electro-Optical sensor also creates a smoother Wah effect overall. The Morley Pro Series II also incorporates their own “High Q” for wider sweep and more highs and lows. Wrap that bad bitch up in some cold rolled steal, slap a giant pedal on top, and you’ve got one of the biggest badass sounds out there.

“But MJ! I heard something about distortion and volume.”

You’re damn right you did!

Sure, Morley could’ve just put out another Wah and been all fine and dandy. Instead, they chose to kick it into full throttle and give players all the roar that they need in one pedal. The analog distortion works completely independently of the Wah and Volume and includes three adjustment knobs: Drive, Level, and Tone. We all love playing with our knobs, and the Pro Series II makes it easy with a dynamic change in drive and broad spectrum of tones.

Want some volume swells? Well, that would be swell. The volume feature makes that pretty easy. The Morley Pro Series II switches quickly, quietly, and easily between Wah and Volume.

Morley likes to keep close to heritage. And, we respect that. They’re not looking to reinvent the wheel; they already did that. What they’re looking to do is give players their flagship Wah with a couple of new features that are going to keep them rocking. Morley is a staple around here at TheToneKing.com, so checking out their Pro Series II Distortion Wah Volume for 30 Pedals in 30 Days 2014 was not a surprise. And neither is the fact that, even after all of this time, the name Morley still equals Wah.

About the Author: Marc published his first novel Becoming in 2010. It’s a kick-ass book with monsters and dreams and stuff, and you should buy it. Since then, he’s written thousands of articles for TheToneKing.com, many of which have been picked up for circulation by manufacturers and other news outlets. His next book, Drugs and Pancakes, should be available early 2014 if his alcoholic editor can find time to work on it in-between destroying his liver and screaming about punctuation. He graduated from Roosevelt University with honors, which means that he’s not as dumb as he looks. He’s been playing guitar for over 25 years, which is almost twice as long as most of his students have been alive.
