An exclusive look at The Ed Roman Custom Shop, Las Vegas Nevada
The Tone King | May 22, 2010 | Comments 8
“Necessity is the mother of invention”, as quoted by Ed Roman, are among the few reasons that drives him to his level of accomplishments. Watch this exclusive footage, where you’ll get to see Ed’s Custom Shop in Las Vegas Nevada. We’ll walk you through the wood shop, the set-up and staging area, the show room floor and all the nooks & crannies that Ed calls home. Not too many people can run an appointment only guitar business let alone fathom such an idea … but Ed does so with success. With that said, I’m thrilled that I can bring Ed Roman & his Custom Shop directly to those who tune into TheToneKing.com! Enjoy & Rock on.

So is he the creator of the “finger” sign bass guitar? Here in México, Alex Lora from El Tri, has one, maybe he oredered it to the costom shop… nice to see such wierd stuff… oh and the dragon wing body was just… amazing.

Thanks for the video interview with Ed showing his shop. Ed, his stuff and staff are top notch. But remember, nothing is perfect to everyone. Yes, Ed is opinionated and that may rub some people wrong. But he’s honest and speaks what he knows. Anyway, everyone who is interested should check out his website and make a judgment. There is plenty to see and read. There is helpful info for hardware as well as tone woods. Some may especially get a kick out of his “Rants” section.
A fan of Ed Roman and now a fan of you.

ToneKing videos are the best on you tube, i like the impartial spots on guitar pedals because instead of relying on the brand name you get to hear the sound and choose for yourself
The bass guitar that was in it around 13:00 with the Roman type seal caught my eye, except id like it in a left handed 6 string guitar
WOW! We’ve been getting lied to all these years. TTK, Great video and even better journalism. I see Pulitzer Prize in your future.
Wow that was very interesting. Never knew that much about Ed Romans shop. I’ve always heard alot of people say bad stuff about him but after watching this I have alot of respect for him. He’s just straight up about everything. Cool!
Man, I never knew that he made guitar for “Big Name” companies. Just think, that Epiphone may not really be made in China. LOL Nice operation he’s got there. I love the SG copy with the crosses all the way down, just like Toni Iommni’s Custom Model. Another great video by the Tone King.
