VAPOR TRAIL Analog Delay by Seymour Duncan

Introducing The Vapor Trail Analog Delay

Vapor Trail

Following on from our Dirty Deed Distortion Pedal, the Vapor Trail is a true analog delay using the famed Bucket Brigade Devices (BBDs), giving it an authentic vintage sound with warmth, fullness and depth. Responsive and easily-accessible modulation controls add shimmer and movement to your delay tone. And a TRS insert jack allows you to add effects to the wet signal – for instance, you can loop the wet delay sound through a flanger, chorus, or other type of effect for a really unique sound. You can also use this jack to output a wet-only signal for parallel effect loops or multi-amp setups, or you can plug in any standard volume-type pedal, crank the Mix knob to full and vary the amount of wet signal from none to full using the pedal. At maximum Wet setting the first echo is actually 3dB louder than the dry signal. To round out the special features on this unit, we’ve made the Delay knob translucent with a cool blue LED that flashes to give you visual feedback on the delay time you have selected – especially handy when you’re playing live!

The Vapor Trail Analog Delay was designed for ease of use with knob placement and sturdy materials so it can hold up to the rigors of life on the road. Each unit is assembled in the Seymour Duncan Factory in Santa Barbara, California.

Jackson RR1 Randy Rhoads USA Select

With an Alder body, quartersawn Eastern hard rock maple neck-thru-body, compound-radius ebony fingerboard, Seymour Duncan JB and Jazz humbucking pickups (for the perfect mix of crunch, chunk, articulation and soaring harmonics), Floyd Rose Original tremolo and black hardware (flame maple top and chrome hardware on trans finishes), the Jackson RR1 Randy Rhoads USA Select model is an American-made classic that will make many folks happy. A guitar that helped to shape the hard rock and metal tones of the 80s and every decade since.

What’s New On The Blog?

We recently checked in with dUg Pinnick (King’s X) to discuss his new band KXM, a trio with Ray Luzier (Korn) and George Lynch. On the pickup side of things we’ve had a look at converting your bass from passive to active pickups, examined the phenomenon of ‘Strat quack,’ pondered the ramifications of adding an extra string or two, and introduced a tasty new Custom Shop pickup called The Eclair with an interesting story behind it.
