IK MULTIMEDIA new Audio Interface for Guitarists AXE I/O

New in from IK Multimedia is an Audio Interface made for Guitarists!  It’s called the AXE I/O.

A quick overview:

It’s a premium audio interface designed especially for recording guitar and bass (and like other interfaces, works well for vocals, too).

While there are other premium audio interfaces out there, this one has additional features for the guitarist/bassist, all at a desirable price point:

  • Adjustable impedance (IK’s new Z-Tone circuitry)
  • Pickup selector switch
  • PURE/JFET circuit selections
  • Built-in tuner
  • Dedicated AMP OUT to make re-amplification much more streamlined

And like other high-quality interfaces, it features:

  • high-end mic preamps,
  • top-of-the-line converters,
  • a wide dynamic range and extended frequency response, etc.

It also includes a plug-in selection with about 150 guitar and outboard effects from IK’s AmpliTube and T-RackS packages for recording production. You could use it as a controller for recording or performing with the effects as well (ex. wah, volume, etc).

The unit can also be rack-mounted!
