Bugera 1990 1960 amp gear review by The Tone King

You won’t want to miss this.  Watch The Tone King coverage on the NEW Bugera 1990 and 1960 amp line.  I’ll compare them to the Marshall JCM 800 / 900 / 1959 equivalents.  Considering the Bugera amps sell NEW for HALF the price of the USED Marshall equivalents … it’s a no brainer, for anyone wanting pure Marshall tone at an affordable price.

Any thoughts on how to break in My Bugera 1990 and 412 cab Not sure if this is needed I just play through it and VOL is at like 2 is there a burn in time required for the tubes?

ive had two bugera 6260 amps for 9 months gigged hard through marshall greenback cabs not a hint of a problem, have great tone and power unbeatable value for the money, thinking of adding the 1960 to the fold.bugera will be starting to worry bigger names.

The Bugeras have had issues…but what would be expecgted of a product hardly two years old? I hear a lot of buzz though that they cleared up the transformer clip issue early on, and any tube amp will have certain issues like power tubes blowing and needing to be re-biased. I will personally get a 6262 combo in the next months, because they are affordable and have killer tones for metal! If I had three grand to spend on a Mesa triple rec, you bet I’d have one. But I don’t, and in these times Bugera is really opening up good tone for decent prices.

  4. Cool solution. However, there are other solutions. You could possibly rewire a multiple speaker cabinet to arrive at different impedence or change the speakers in the cabinet to ones with different ohms.

Too bad they break in less than 6 months, on average.
