VFE Triumvirate Distortion Pedal – Dean ML Guitar 3000 AT3000 ATF3000 Winter NAMM 2011 ’11 30 Pedals

READ ME : Welcome back to 30 Pedals in 30 Days!

This is the 2nd VFE Pedal I’m covering in the 30 Pedal in 30 Days series. This is one very unique pedal, in that you can CONTROL how much Treble, Bass, Mids (levels) go to the amp, with gain controls ‘per frequency’. Nothing else like it out there.

I demo’d this on clean & over dirty.

Over clean – it held it’s own.
Over dirty – it really allowed me to fine tune what frequencies I want to push the amp with. Last year – for 30 Pedals in 30 Days, I mentioned that one trick you can do to thicken up your tone is to use a subtle octave effect. I felt like I was able to achieve that with this pedal, by adding a certain amt of low frequencies + some low end gain with a touch of mid-end growl.

Remember one thing … Boost pedals are cool, but if you want to shape the boost – this is a clever way of doing it! You can (for example) take a strat, and really thicken it up, almost making it sound like a Les Paul.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video!
Don’t forget – In celebration of 30 Pedals in 30 days, you can opt-in to win a Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Unit. Details here : https://thetoneking.com/gear-give-away/dec10-line6-m13/
