Summer NAMM 2015: Washburn Unveils New Apprentice 5 Series

Washburn’s at it again! Summer NAMM was a big event for the veteran guitar manufacuterer. They went to NAMM prepared to unveil not one, but two new lines of guitars. The Woodline series was covered in an earlier article, but Washburn also brought out the new Apprentice 5 series. If I had an acoustic guitar like this when I started playing, maybe I wouldn’t have been in such a rush to go electric. Built as the ultimate starter, the Apprentice goes far beyond that with a premium spruce top and mahogany back and sides. No plywood here folks. Just tone.
