Miami, FL, April 1, 2016—Singular Sound, makers of the popular BeatBuddy pedal-controlled drum machine, announced today that users will now be able to control the sobriety level of their drum machines.

“People keep telling us that playing with the BeatBuddy is just like playing with a real drummer,” said David Packouz, CEO of Singular Sound, “The only thing it doesn’t do, they say, is drink all your beer.  We thought, ‘Why not?  If we’re going to do this, we might as well go all the way!'”

This feature is part of a larger update to the BeatBuddy that adds many new features requested by the BeatBuddy fan base, such as hands-free folder navigation, a visual “count in” before a song, extensive new MIDI controls, and more.

About Singular Sound
Miami-based audio technology company Singular Sound invented BeatBuddy out of frustration at not being able to find a drum machine that enabled hands-free live control. Other drum machines were either complicated table-top devices that are difficult, if not impossible, to control while jamming, or are poorly made afterthoughts in loopers that grant no control of a single repetitive beat loop—no fills, no rhythm changes, no accent hits, no tap tempo, no drum breaks, and, of course, no computer interface. With detailed input from the musician community, the BeatBuddy was designed to be the perfect solution to this frustration: The power of a drum machine with the simplicity of a pedal.
