I'm almost positive that b is the RR modded amp. It sounds warmer, darker, more gain. The sound is just so horrible though, pumping a 150W amp through a little camera mic. The a amp sounds better because its clarity is superior, but that could easily just be a crappy mic that picks up non-subtle changes in sound. I am pretty serious about getting the RR mod done. This video is no help though. Maybe I can find the secret stash here somewhere that will at least tell me which one is modded. I hate this to mod or not to mod shootout. Amp "A" seems like the tone is alot more focused where "B" is alot more wide open. I believe the modification was possibly adding a good 10" speaker in there, it would have been alot more obvious if any changes with the tone knob were compared. Both amps sound good though, but hey TTK could make anything sound good! Hope you get kickbacks from all the gear you have sold me on. Love your shootouts! If I'm wrong I will quit smoking!
