I have a bugera v55h.
It is easy to use, and sounds good!
I recently purchase A 333XL, it sounds more awesome than I anticipated.
Loved the Video ,much respect !!!
1990 but i nearly would go for the 6260 only for i prefer the marshall crunch sound
I grew up with the 80′s ‘raging wall of Marshalls’ tone, so the 1990 sounds sweet… but I already have a Marshall. The 6260 is badass, but if I were to buy a Bugera head – and I plan to – it would(will) be the 333, NOT the 333XL.
#1 – the XL’s ‘noise gate’ doesn’t work worth a flip
#2 – I’d rather have the tight/loose damping switch that’s on the back of the 333 than the presence knob of the XL, so I’m not paying the extra $50 for 2 features I don’t want.
I’ve a Bugera 1960, it’s my favorite, a really Plexi amp.
I’ve replaced Bugera tubes by EHX tubes, it’s really better, more rich, more deep, more of caracter and identity.
Satisfied and happy.
I voted 6260- its not quite the 6262 as far as features, but is pretty close tonewise.
Great video TK!. IMO the 1960… Reason being: Plexi amp for less than $500!!!! Also love the head room if you want to play with fancy multi-fxs. The 6262 was a close 2nd.
Cheers!
They have all their own tone/sound, but I went with the 1990. I’m very happy with it and if I want more crunch/bite (metal), then I just add in my digitech multi-effects pedal.
That was supposed to be the 1990, sorry.
I liked the Bugera 1090 sound the best, it to had the sounds I grew up with. When I voted I saw results for the V- series but the V-55 wasn’t shown on this video. I just don’t want to blow the windows out of the house. Has Bugera done better on the reliability dept? I have seen several reviews on stuff frying on the board inside.
Thanks for another great TK video.
I voted 6260, but the 333XL is also a kicker. It has tons of gain, but stays sharp and punchy, sort of Mesa or Engl-ish. But when it comes to raw, brutal power, TK you’re right. That 6260 tone is just thick and heavy and charged with angry harmonics! Great vid as usual!!
Everyone asks me … WHICH is my favorite. If had to have only 1 – I’d personally choose the 1990. It has tones that I really like, and tones that I grew up with, making it the most familiar to me. BUT, with that said – YOU have to choose which one is right for you!! Here’s my quick two cents on the other models …
If you want versatility (3 channels, noise gate, XL features, etc.) – the 333XL is a good way to go.
If you want BONE CRUSHING tones for METAL and beyond – the 6260 series is the way to go.
If you want vintage sounds, in an amp that is lots of fun to modify to your own … there’s nothing like the 1960. Watch TTK’s Pimp My Plexi FULL series, right here : http://thetoneking.com/wp/ttks_complete_bugera1960_pimp_my_plexi_series/
If you want vintage sounds in a versatile package – the V series is a good way to go.
Pick your poison, and ROCK ON. NUFF SAID!
