Poll : Which amp for TTK’s next studio gig?

Boys & Girls – This coming Friday 9/10, I’ll be heading to the studio w/ a couple of friends for some friendly jamming.  Lots of folks are always asking how a particular amp keeps up with a band (drums, other guitarist, etc.).  Here’s your chance to tell me which you’d like to see go up w/ some bandmates.

There are 20 amps below.  I included some new amps, some vintage amps, some expensive amps, and some affordable amps … all in effort to have a good representation of all makes, models and price-points.

You can choose up to 3.  You vote, I play!  Hope you like this idea!  Thanks and ROCK ON!, Signed, TTK.

Poll is now closed.

Okay folks – I’m ready to pack up the car – so the poll is now officially closed.  Thank you to all who voted.

Jet City it is.  Keep a look out for the video of ‘Studio Jam Session #2 – The Making of The Tone King Cometh’.  Thanks as always & ROCK ON!.

I think the poll has been hijacked a little bit. Do people need to really hear if a Marshall JCM800 or Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier can keep up with a band? Of course not. Big names should have been excluded from the poll.

  3. Fahad says:

you should use the Red Anus “pickle fryer”

  4. Francis says:

I see that Crate Powerblock in the back there and it taunts me because I have one and love it. But it’s not on this list.

  5. Frost says:

We have all heard the TTK play guitar! Does it really Matter?

  6. Bob Whitham says:

I would prefer the Engl Powerball II, and the Roman Scorpion with skull paint job.

  7. Jim says:

I just ordered a Bugera 1990 having seen your video. I would like to see you use it Friday. Use a LP since that is what most people are using. Even an Epiphone LP would be cool since so may people have them and since the Bugera is an inexpensive tube head it is likely many guys and dolls out there are using Epis. Thanks for all you do.

  8. Mike says:

I would smoke em all and use the randall mts 100 with the sl+ module gain on 3/4.

I wanna see an other review of the 1960 Bugera. Or, if you can to have one, a Wizard Vintage Classic or Modern. It’s really amazing !

  10. sandford caime says:

please play the carvin v3 in the band setting, master volume at around 7 channel volume to taste, this would give a good non fizzy sound and true tone of what the v3 can do! please tone king you da man!

  11. tjrvntman says:

Please play your Soldano….could you bring the top 3 picks and play the three of them w/an amp switcher!!!

    Blackstar ht stage 100

  16. Tommy Jack says:

What is the smallest best simulated acoustic guitar set up for live gig? I use Sunrise pick up’s in all my acoustic guitars.

  17. Joe says:

Since you didn’t mention what music you’ll be playing exactly, I voted for the amps that can give you the most flexibility as well as being 80′s metal tone capable.

  18. Joel says:

Would be awesome if you could use the Carvin V3! Since I’m thinking of buying one.

  19. Zac says:

You should do a review about the Framus Cobra!! it would be so awesome TTK style !
