4 chances to win a Korg Pitchblack Poly

How it Works

Each Friday in June 2013, TTK will select one lucky guitarist from a set of 4 lists (outlined below) who will walk away with the world’s best tuner – the Korg Pitchblack Poly.

1 Winner will be selected on each of the following dates :

  • 6/7 – Congratulations to Robert Marks!  Way to go!
  • 6/14- Congratulations to MAC HotRod V! Way to go!
  • 6/21 – Congratulations to TVLTNT!  Way to go!
  • 6/28 – Congratulations to Bruce Lindsey!  Way to go!

How to Enter

In a nutshell … you have to participate by leaving a comment. (keep reading …)

Since there are 4 tuners to give away – we thought it made sense to pick from 4 separate lists.  I know, I know – there may be overlaps of entries – but that’s okay.  Heck – it’s more chance for you to win anyway – isn’t it?  But, rather than the same ol’, same ol’ of collecting email addresses – in spirit of Summer … this time we’re going to have some fun (and it’s really simple).

All you have to do is leave a meaningful comment about ‘tuning‘ on one or all of the lists below … and we’re going to select a random winner from each of those lists. Yes, it’s that simple.  Oh, and, since we’re actually going to read the comments … be kind, and try to leave a fun & unique comment for us to enjoy, versus the ol’ ‘pick me, pick me‘ and copy-paste-x-4 trick.  Comment should be on topic, meaningful & fun.  Here are some topics to help get you thinking about how you can ‘get in tune in June‘ …

  • How often do you tune?
  • Ever see a show where someone was out of tune?
  • How long can you play without having to re-tune?
  • Do you tune on stage? Abruptly center stage, or subtlety side stage?
  • Tell us an embarrassing story, like going out of tune during a performance … and what you did to make sure the show still went on!

Of course – those are our examples … feel free to share your own!

The Lists

The 4 places (lists) you should leave a comment on are below.  We will be choosing 1 winner from each list in no particular order (which is why the lists aren’t numbered ;-).  (Each item is clickable).

I was at a show, and I was playing out of tune. The other band members started to make fun of me. It was so embarrassing xD! I dont have a tuner, so i couldn’t tune my guitar, so i play the whole show without tuning. so i could really use a tuner. Thanks

  3. JoshuaRosa says:

I tune 2 times in a show and on every practice. I usually play like 20 to 30 minutes without tuning. I saw a show where the guitarist was out of tune, it was horrible xD. I never had a tuner, sou I usually ask for a tuner when I’m going to play at a show. So i really want that tuner. Thnkx

  4. Hi TK, I usually retune every time after I hit our band singer with my guitar…take care dude!

  5. Jerry says:

I simply don’t have enough experience playing . That why I need a KORG Pitchblack Tuner .

  6. Travis Moss says:

Tuning is a very important part of a live gig. As an acoustic musician, If you are not in tune with your instrument, the crowd notices quickly. If you use equipment that uses your voice and your instrument to make harmony vocals, the instrument being out of tune can make a great night into a bland show. So Tune often, and rock on!

  7. Jan Šmucr says:

Ok, the Facebook post is visible now, but it’s not possible to add a comment there. 🙂

I tune up every time I play my guitar I currently have a clip on tuner I’d rather win the pedal.

  9. Jan Šmucr says:

The contest post on the Facebook is private. Can’t see it.

  10. Jerry says:

Just saw this in real life . Wow ! What a great tuner !

  11. Vaughan MacEgan says:

I tune up before any gig/performance sitting down and the tuning pegs get very close to my hair – it’s quite long – anyway this one time I was tuning the guitar and was finally glad that I had finished and got up quickly to start playing. What I didn’t know was that my hair had gotten caught up in the tuning pegs and ripped out a stack of precious hair, my bandmates thought it was hilarious, me not so much 🙂

  12. Steve Reed says:

18 strings on one Guitar I need that tuner TK.

  13. Gary Hetrick says:
