  1. Mr. Greene says:

This is patent called ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) which makes Blackstar pedals so unique and versatile. It enables you to define your tone type from American to British and also to find any definition in between. Accordingly, you can find the tone you hear in your head.

  2. Dimitri Rodriguez says:

The isf knob is the same as the voice knob on the amp head.

  5. Stefan Vetter says:

The HT: Metal and the ID: Series amps share Blackstar’s patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature). Turning the knob one way will make the product sound like a British Metal amp. Turning the knob the other way will give the product a High-Gain American voicing.

  6. Zev Moshon says:

Each Blackstar amplifier shares the patented Infinite Shaping Feature
in which gives the guitarist the ability to fabricate a well desired tone fit for the musician. turning the ISF knob right can give a British heavy metal tone and turning it left will give an American tone. if you have the ISF at 12:00, you will have a blend of British and American metal tone

  7. Dan V says:

Like most Blackstar products the HT:Metal pedal and the ID:Series amps both have Blackstar’s patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) knob. Turning the knob one way will give it a sort of British voicing, and turning it the other way will give it an American style voicing.

  8. Thomas Murawski says:

Both the HT Metal pedal and the ID: Series amps have Blackstar’s patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) control, which re-voices the entire tone stack from British Heavy Metal to US High Gain!

It is the Infinite shape Feature (I.S.F).

Most amplifiers and pedals from Blackstar share the ISF which changes de voicing, yet there is another feature which comes in handy when recording which is the emulated speaker output. Never had the pelasure to work with any of this… they are so overpriced in my country.
