I didn't have an issue with a cable other than the fact that sometimes it wasn't long enough for the stage I was playing, because the amp was to far from the monitors, and I couldn't stay in the best position on the stage because of that. So a wireless unit will be very useful.

Well, not much of a dramatic story but I tend to turn in circles when playing. This one time I turned to many circles, guitar & headphone cables were weaved together around my legs and stupidly fell on the floor, bumping my head. It hurt.

i was playing a show and had a nice crowd there. kids going crazy jumping on the stage, back off. untill one kid jumped up ran behind me and went to jump off the stage. when he did he stepped on my 1/4" cable. when he did he slipped and pulled my chord. which in turn ripped my strap lock peg off and then broke the 1/4" line in my input jack of my guitar. this was a local show so i didnt bring my back up guitar.. now i do.. had to borrow anothoer guitarists guitar to play a couple more songs. i hate my 1/4" ever eince then!

Living with 3 kids and 2 Great Danes, the danger is always there that someone or a dog may pull my guitar over by tripping on the cable. A wireless unit would eliminate that worry. And, quite frankly, it would just be a neat thing to have and use.

Whoops! I didn't realize you guys wanted a story. Personally, I've never had issues with cable, but a good friend of mine had finished playing a worship set at our church, and set his guitar down on a stand. The pastor was coming up from backstage up to the front as the lights were fading up, and tripped over his cable. Down went the beautiful cherry sunburst Gibson Les Paul Traditional!! I watched almost in slow motion as it fell and made a thud and twanging of strings. The headstock cracked in a diagonal line where it joins the neck... Luckily the wood didn't splinter, so they were able to restore the guitar to where you can barely see the crack, but he sure could've used the wireless!! Maybe i can gift it to him as a sympathy gift, and to help out with the value loss of the Les Paul

I've never tried running wireless, just because i hate batteries, and nothing is as reliable as good ol' wire. But this could be promising!

During a quiet time at my church, I had a dying cable go bad. It started humming crazy loud. I had to throw my amp on standby, some stage guys were running around looking for another cable. We got it switched out and everything was ok. It just had to happen during a quiet time though.

My cable story: I am the lead guitarist in my band and am very active. One night I was running around and tripped over the cable. As I tripped over the cable it wrapped around my neck and I was struggling on stage. As I get up and untangle myself the audience applauded me and it was one of the only times the crowd actually cheered for us so far. Later that night as I was getting back into it and as I just forgot what had just happened to me I tripped over my cable again, only this time breaking off the headstock of my Gibson SG that was one of my favorite guitars, but I eventually sold the guitar. So back to the show, I got out my back up guitar and finished the show and everybody loved it and thought that I had smashed my beautiful guitar on purpose, although I smashed up my guitar, it got the crowd into it and they loved it!
