Hey guys, so I was just sitting here, pondering what we do on the forum, and I definitely think we have a good thing going.  We talk a lot about different gear and such, and I know we have a lot of players of varying skill levels as well – which is a good thing!  So I was thinking, it would be really cool if we could use the forum as a platform to share some of our skills and techniques too… after all, the reason we get so crazy on gear is because we're PLAYERS.  And I'm sure we all have things we could learn from each other, regardless of skill level.  That being said, how would you guys feel about supporting everyone to upload some lesson-type posts?  I'm thinking we just kind of go one at a time, so people have time to get something ready and post it, and then we all have a couple days to take a look at it and practice/absorb it.  And it can be anything. A lesson on how to play a song, some of your signature licks, tips and tricks you use to set up your gear – anything instructional.  And it can be in video form, or just a written article, or whatever.  I, for example, would be interested in learning some blues riffs from Ian.

Just an idea at this point, but I think this forum would be a great tool for all of us to improve our playing.  And I don't want anyone to be intimidated by this, even if you don't consider yourself as good as some of the other players on here, if you have something worth sharing, by all means share it!  We're all friends here.  It might only go on for a month, or it might go on for quite a while, it's all good.  Anyone interested?

Cool, well I'm glad to see so many people are digging this idea.  I guess we may as well get started, if anyone is feeling ambitious in the next few days, go ahead!  I'm in the midst of an exam block right now (silly grad school) so I probably won't be able to post anything for a week or so, but I'm definitely planning on it, just wanted to get the idea out while it was fresh in my mind.  And as TK said, let's get these posted in the "tabs" section.  Looking forward to what you guys have to share!
