I want one.. After a quick look I would sum it down to either the Redline HB, Montreal, or the Icon Type2 Fat Black. It seems to be discontinued but I also wanted a Godin Freeway originally.
Guerilla Guitars = Laval, Quebec
Godin Guitars = Montreal, Quebec
Video # 2 that you posted of Paul from Guitar World demo'ing the Godin Summit CT demonstration just how nice that guitar sounds! The necks that Godin produces are well made too.

See, that's probably exactly it. It's the same with Gibson Custom Shop LPs. Sure, some of them have beautiful finishes that aren't "normal" on LPs, but given the over-saturation of "Special Edition This" and "Special Edition That," I can't tell what I'm looking at.
While on the "Special Edition" rant, Fender is horribly guilty of this; everything from the $17,000 "SRV" replica to Jackson's $12,xxx "Randy Rhoads Concorde" replica. While these are amazing guitars, who has the money for $12,000+ guitars? Then there are the "basic" models like the "Relic" or "Roadworn" editions, etc. Fender's most common habit is to put out re-issues of older models and then charge an arm and a leg for them. Because of this, they just aren't special anymore.
I'm a Fender guy through and through but they've managed to really drown out the brand with unnecessary editions and creations.
Actually I think it's cool when they do limited run of a guitar that actually is special. It's calling everything special and creating that new special thing seemingly on a bi-monthly basis that is really some variation of a guitar already in production. I'd rather they cut back and increase quality which would add value unto itself. It's the reason that some of their Japanese built gear from the 80's is still in high demand today. It was built right!

Exactly my point; when everything is special, nothing is. I think it's cool to do a few limited runs but when there are 100 different "Special Edition" guitars coming out, it just drowns out the brand. Look at Dean Guitars. While they may be decent instruments (I think they suck, but that's me…), everything is "Dime this, Dime that." Now, even their "new" stacks/halfstacks are "Dime." Don't forget the "Dimebucker" pickups, too. IMO, this whole "Dime" thing is ridiculous and nothing more than a marketing scheme used to attract teenie-boppers and capitalize on Dimebag Darrell's name. IMO, the whole "Dime everything" just cheapens the brand and makes me NOT want to use the product.

I would love to have an American Bird of Prey…
I played a Barchetta but I wasn't real impressed with it. The Imperial played real nicely but I just don't particularly care for the style.
I'm seriously craving a Jackson Custom Shop Warrior or Star.

Nice list of guitars! That RG370DX would be a nice addition to most music rooms without busting the bank.!

During my last few weeks of shopping I've seen a handful drool-worth Jacksons. None Custom shop, but nice just the same. The RR model among them.
I have a 2003 USA "Select Series" KV2 that I got for a really good price last June. I picked it up with the intentions of flipping it for a profit but then the market just kinda tanked and I got stuck with it. I was going to use the profits to go towards a Custom Shop Warrior or Star.
Ironically enough, I was dying to play a USA Jackson and wound up finding this one at a store that was closing. Someone traded in this pristine KV2 towards a banjo. Yeah, I'm still trying to contemplate that decision, myself.
So, I played it and liked it more because it was a USA Jackson than the playing experience, though it did play nicely. I'd played Vs in the past and haven't liked them, and this one really wasn't no different, but I did like the neck.
I was sure from the start I was never really going to like this guitar very much and it even took a back seat to my much cheaper JS32 Warrior, but that has since changed due to an issue with my Warmoth guitar.
My Warmoth guitar is by far the favorite in my collection, but after sending the body back to Warmoth for some repair, the most "Metal" guitar I had was this V, and it didn't hurt it was a USA model (I have a thing for USA-made gear). I also have an American Telecaster but that just doesn't cut it for Metal.
I started spending some time with this V and I've since grown quite attached to it, especially the neck. Now, I just really love this guitar and can't see myself selling it. In fact, it's sort of taken that place of that Custom Shop Warrior or Star I'd craved, but I'm sure I'll eventually get around to getting one anyway.

Ask if you replace the keyboard with a new one, if you can get that RR?
Haha! Nah, I'm workin' on her to let me get a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited.
Nice! I had an '85 CJ that I put a diesel engine into back in the mid 90's that was alot of fun! Did alot of off-roading in Northwest Jersey and Northeast PA. I wish Jeep would do a factory diesel in their Jeeps! It's the perfect combination! But that would also mean I would have to buy another Chrysler product and after the last experience I had with Chrysler (a nightmarish 2007 Dodge Truck), I swore never again!

Nice! I can understand your apprehension about returning to a Chrysler product, especially since my wife just wound up with a Fiat 500 as a rental car a few weeks ago. It was without a doubt, one of the worst vehicles I'd ever had the misfortune of being behind the wheel of. When I told my wife I wanted to experience an Italian automobile, a Fiat was NOT what I had in mind!
Anyhow, I understand your apprehension about buying a Chrysler. I too have that same apprehension, especially considering I would have to trade in my 2005 STi for one. Who in his/her right mind trades in a Subaru for a Chrysler, right? The unwritten rule when it comes to Subaru is that you only get rid of a Subaru for another Subaru. I can understand that, considering my STi has been an excellent car.

I've got a feeling that John 5 would disagree with you. ;)
John 5's Tele's just a little bit different than your standard American Tele.
I'd love to build a Warmoth Tele into the ultimate Metal guitar. That would be cool. Imagine a Tele in all black, maple neck, ebony fretboard, 24 medium-sized frets; just totally blacked out with black hardware, black Floyd, etc. Don't forget the double "HXH" pickup combo, either. That would be awesome, and then some!

Yeah, the J5 Tele with it's Triple Hums and a AV Trem from a Strat is only a Tele in body shape alone. I played a used one about month ago and it wasn't a country picker for sure. But for the $850 used price it had, I could think of other rock/metal guitars I would prefer a bit more.
Yeah, I'd agree there. I paid $792 for my '94 or '95 Tele Plus and it has the Fender "Lace" pickups. It's most definitely not a "Metal guitar."
