i always liked these for el84s

and id probably rock JJ 12ax7s as well, how are you liking your vox? I think tax time I might go back to a vox

+1 to JJ tubes, I have always found them to be a great mix of tone and quality.  And their prices aren't too bad either.

I love it its one of my favourite amps to play.  That being said it does what it does and thats all great clean tones and a good dirty channel although i find i need an overdrive to make it really sing.  I would recommend it to anyone.  thanks for the advice ill be sure to give them a look.

The Amp market is getting so crowded (a good thing for us players) and the newer brands are literally giving the old standby's a run for their money. I see many shops giving great deals on models from VOX, Marshall, and others that haven't moved as fast through the Holidays. You could likely find a great deal when you're ready after tax time…
