So I visited Guitar Center yesterday and got a quote for 2 custom sets of EMG pickups for about $500. Anyone know if there are places that sell EMGs cheaper than Guitar Center before I take the plunge?

I'll take you up on that offer, but at a later time. I'm currently restricting my funds to strictly academic purchases since books and tuition seem to have had yet another price hike. Thanks for the offer =)

Was it the 2 sets plus installation? Because 500 would be awesome, Musiciansfriend runs the 81/85 set for $210. What guitar were you looking to put them in?
