I heard Bugera's blow up frequently. Is that true? I'd also say the Fender wasn't level matched to the Bugerra. I would also say the Bugera's sound wasn't warmer by my definition, but was muddier than the Fender. I would say the seeming lesser midrange in the Fender was more to do with how it was recorded, being lower in volume than the Bugera. Fender amps are bright & clear. They're designed to be that way. I'm not a fan of either of these amps. I am a fan of the Orange TH30. I owned a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. I traded it straight up for a Samick 5 string bass. The Tone King does a fine review.

The clean sound of the Fender wins but the overdrive of the Bugera has the edge. I own a Hot Rod Deluxe.

The Bugera definitely has a nice deep tone to it in the vid. I wonder how dialed in it was. On Musician's Friend it was $200 cheaper than the Fender, so excellent job on the pricing. I liked how you mentioned the wattage differences as well. BUT.... I wonder....I see Bugera advertising on the side of the screen.... You know you can't go wrong with Fender amplifiers, but this does a great job at showing the Bugera V series. Excellent video.

I dig the Bugera a lot more. The warmth of the cleans, the slightly duller sound, Fenders just have too much jangle and sound brittle until they're cranked to 10. The Bugera wins on the drive side of things for me, too. It's got more kick than the Fender, sounds creamier and blues on that thing would be insanely awesome. Bugera all the way. Great vid!

I like the warmth of the Bugera on the clean channel, the Fender is definitely brighter - but when you drive em the Bugera is brighter with the warmth it had in the clean. A slight edge goes to the Bugera in this demo.
