I think you ought to know all guitar builders , kidding.

It’s been one year, and you said you will ‘keep watching’. Don’t you thing it’s time for a follow-up post? Although not very much related, as I’m more into acoustic guitars (un-amplified, plain and simple), but I am maintaining a database of Guitar makers called LuthierDB (http://luthierdb.blogspot.com/). Some of the luthiers featured on LuthierDB make Electrics and Hybrids too, if you want to see some new names!

I got to know Neal Moser on the USA Handmades old forum, after Bernie had passed, but was there in early 2000 to get a serial track on my own Bich guitar, Neal I consider a good friend upon our meet online in those days! He’s one of the best! You did forget to mention after 1985 his work with GMW, Lee Garver and WIZARD!

What about john suhr and tom anderson… aren’t they worthy of being on the list?

Their guitars kick some serious butt… and quality is what you get unlike these corporates, they just want to suck your blood and get you the china or asian shit …..

Incredible. You know, this past year Vintage Guitars rag had an article on ‘Super Strats of the 80′s’ or some sort of nonsense and they left out Valley Arts from their list as well … only one of the best custom guitars ever built played by some of the best musicians of that time. Now you guys …. Mike McGuire … head of the Gibson Custom Shop and founder of VA? Custom Shop is creating some of the best guitars out there these days for some of the greatest musicians of this era as well. Mike seems to have a fairly good resume compared to some of the hacks (Wayne excluded, love him and his stuff) you mentioned. Just saying …
