Superstorm Sandy and 30 Pedals in 30 Days

As most of you know, TheToneKing.com is New Jersey based.

On October 29th, Hurricane Sandy started tearing up the east coast, bringing destruction along with it. While many states were effected, The Tone King’s home of New Jersey was probably hit the hardest. If anyone is interested in donating to the Red Cross relief efforts, you can text REDCROSS to 9o999 to donate $10 to help hurricane victims.

Thankfully, The Tone King and his family are all OK. But, like nearly 29 million others, his home is without power.

Since it looks like they wont be able to restore power for at least 7 – 10 more days, TheToneKing.com will postpone 30 Pedals in 30 Days until December.

Thank you all for your kind wishes, and I’ll leave you with the big guy’s own words from his Facebook page.

Friends : Thank you all for reaching out. I’ve received text messages, emails, phone calls, and every other way of communication, forum & FB posts, etc. – all of which I am very grateful for. As most of you heard – New Jersey took an absolute beating w/ Hurricane Sandy. Whereas my family and home are all safe – we have been without power since the storm.

Officials are estimating on 7-10 days for partial restoration. Major carrier circuits were also affected (Verizon, AT&T, etc.) – so no power, and very limited connectivity. BUT … my family and I are all safe – and all of my guitars are safe too :-). No water problems where I am – mostly just massive wind that knocked down everything in it’s path!. ALSO, because I am working with no power – 30 Pedals in 30 Days will be postponed until December. Without power – there is nothing I can do. PLEASE – if you can pass this message around – I’d appreciate it very much. Thanks again to everyone who reached out! I REALLY appreciate it!!! Until I’m back online – I’ll leave you all off with one of these \m/ bad boys right here!

About the Author: Marc published his first novel Becoming in 2010. It’s a kick-ass book with monsters and dreams and stuff, and you should buy it. Since then, he’s written thousands of articles for TheToneKing.com, many of which have been picked up for circulation by manufacturers and other news outlets. His next book, Drugs and Pancakes, should be available early 2014 if his alcoholic editor can find time to work on it in-between destroying his liver and screaming about punctuation. He graduated from Roosevelt University with honors, which means that he’s not as dumb as he looks. He’s been playing guitar for over 25 years, which is almost twice as long as most of his students have been alive.
