NAMM 2014: Blackstar ID: Core Models and HT CLUB 40 Vintage Pro Guitar Amps

Earlier this month, we had reported that Blackstar amps were up to some mysterious shenanigans. Finally, they have revealed what all of the mystery was about. Blackstar have expanded their ID Series amps with three new ID: Core Models.

So, I guess my theory about Blackstar releasing a  mind-controlling hamster is out the window.

Even if we will miss the notion of a bloody apocalypse at the hands of a cute and fuzzy mind altering rodent, Blackstar has brought us something something that will no doubt still make everyone take notice.

The ID: Core Models come in 10, 20, or 30 Watt versions. Each version has two speakers, 2×3″, 2×5″, 2x.6.5″ respectively. Designed to deliver mind crushing tone, the ID:Core Models work well in the bedroom or on a stage. Six onboard amp voicings with power amp modeling. The INSIDER GUI software lets players create deep edits that can be stored in the amp. It also allows players to share patches with players from around the world through the Blacktar online community.

As if releasing these three new additions to the ID: Series wasn’t enough. Blackstar also released the HT CLUB 40 Vintage Pro Guitar Amplifier. This limited edition piece is a customized version of Blackstar’s top-selling HT Club 40. 

40-Watts, 2xECC83 and 2xEL34, two channels, Infinite Shape Feature, Speaker Emulated out, and a 16 Ohm Celestion Vintage 30 all wrapped up in red Artisan Tolex with black grill cloth. Very classy. If you want one, though, you’d better act quick. They’re only available until April of 2014.
