Larry Thomas Retires From Fender

xlarge_CMYK_CMYL_Larry-Thomas-with-Fender-TelecasterFLAT_edited_1After being part of the music industry for nearly half of a century, In May, Larry Thomas will hang up his hat at Fender and retire.

Having started as a sales person at Guitar Center in 1977, he worked his way up through the ranks and led the charge during the times of what was known as “When Guitar Center Was Cool.”

He then moved to Fender and worked there as CEO in 2010.

Fender was recently purchased by Servco Pacific and TPG Growth and has already made significant changes to its sales structure by offering direct sales on certain products.

Regardless of the reason why Larry decided to retire now, he has made a significant impact on the music industry. And, having done that, he will always be remembered at TheToneKing.com as being a huge part of music history.
